wildfox sun

ilovewildfox

OK, I'm officially in love with Wildfox Sun. The Edward Scissorhands pastel/Californian road trip  color palette and style is a stunner.
Quick update: I'm heading out of the country [or more like continent?] in a few days so I'm excited for that [I'm FINALLY going to go to Topshop] but unfortunately I'm only going to have Internet access once every few days..wish me luck.

feels like summer

Planet Blue lookbook+store

I've only been to Planet Blue once, and being in a rush, I only got to explore the store for about 4 minutes..so I can't really say that I know it that well. But looking at these photographs, you can get a sense of their laid-back, socal kind of look..I love how everything is so relaxed.

“It's like I am inside this ethereal sphere wherein exists no logic, no reasoning, no typicality, no explanations, no realism, no comparisons, nothing ordinary, and no normalcy. And then if you are to understand me, you have to step into my realm and leave all of those things behind. I'm not typical. I'm not ordinary. And I'm not normal. And I never will be ‎. So I don't see the point of waking up in the morning and wishing to be so.”  --C. Joybell C.

I can't help but notice how similar Zara's May collection is to models' streetstyle during fashion week. It's not hard to imagine Abbey Lee in the lace maxi, maybe with a mink stole and round sunglasses. Really, I would say this collection is far better suited for Freja Beha, Josephine Skriver, and other people of that height/style. However, it's reminded me to invest in classic pieces/shades rather than trendy come-and-go types.
And, now that school's done with, I can go to Zara as well (it's an hour away by car, but I think it'll be worth the trip.)

C H A N E L

fabsugar, bellasugar, ibtimes

Chanel has definitely reached a new level of 'French' this cruise collection, receiving most of its inspiration from Marie-Antoinette- this includes the little 'C' beauty marks which I am absolutely dying for..as with the pastel creepers. How insanely genius are they??

take over control

Control Earrings in Bronze, Upper Metal Class

I have to admit, there are times when I wish I had my ears pierced..and these control earrings by Upper Metal Class (best brand name ever) are so tempting. The philosophy behind these stunners:
COMES WITH ALL 6 PIECES OF REWIND, PLAY, FORWARD, PAUSE, STOP AND RECORD. THESE PLAYFUL INTERCHANGEABLE PIECES ARE PERFECT FOR THAT PERSON WHO WANTS TO TAKE CONTROL!
Yes, please.

I need to get my ears pierced.

ksubi

Ksubi Spring/Summer 2012/13- Knight Cat, Tumblr

Ksubi perfection at Melbourne fashion week. Tying a sweater (which happens to be a part of the dress..trippy) over your waist has never been so cool.

Now, let us all take a moment to appreciate Bambi's glitter-infused lashes--

earth day (bag it)

besau-marguerre designs, maison martin margiela

“IF YOU HAD TO ENVISAGE LIFE ON SOME OTHER HABITABLE PLANET OTHER THAN EARTH, WHAT KIND OF MINIMAL HAND LUGGAGE WOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOU?” THIS WAS THE QUESTION POSED TO DESIGNERS AS PART OF A COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION ENTITLED “ANOTHER TERRA / HOME AWAY FROM HOME”, CURATED BY BARBARA BRONDI AND MARCO RAINO, AT THIS YEAR’S MILAN DESIGN WEEK.
"FROM THE MOST PRIMITIVE NEEDS TO THE MOST EVOLVE TRANSFORMATIONS, PLANTS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN KEY ELEMENT IN HUMANDEVELOPMENT. OXYGEN, FOOD, CLOTH, COLOR, MEDECINE: AT THE CORE OF  CIVILIZATION REMAIN OUR RELATION WITH VEGETALES AND THE TOOLS AND CRAFTS WHICH RESULT OF IT. ON A FOREIGN PLANET PLANT COULD WITNESS FOR US IF THIS LAND COULD BE A NEW GARDEN OF EDEN. THEREFORE ONE OF OUR LUGGAGE MUST INSURE THE PRESERVATION OF THIS PRECIOUS RESSOURCE  IF WE WANT TO BE SURE TO MAKE HOME ON ANOTHER TERRA."

How rad is this Besau-Marguerre 'greenhouse to go'? The soil and roots and everything is just insanely cool, and the raw cut leather just ties it up perfectly.

all pieces by mirit weinstock

How amazing are these jewelry pieces by Mirit Weinstock? Each piece is so unique and original..the necklace in the first picture would go so perfectly with something like this shining button down shirt by Acne that I've been dreaming of for ages:
Nothing much has happened lately. Yesterday my friends and I went to a science competition at a museum, but went home without an award..trying not to think about the past four months that we spent working on our project. Anyway, the weather's been so nice lately, going to almost 90 degrees!

FUCHSIA shoe by AcneStudios

This leather beauty caught my eye while scrolling through the Acne website..I'm a sucker for the strap details.

pasta shapes?

nylon

My newest obsession: pasta shaped earrings from Dolce&Gabbana. Seems ridiculous at first but when you understand that the designers found inspiration in their Italian roots and incorporated that into their designs, etc etc, the earrings look brilliant. On the runway:

style

I suppose it looks good partly because of the fact that the model is Anja Rubik but I still love this modern take on Italian culture.

zara april lookbook

studded hearts

Clean, white, neutral with pops of color..crying again at the fact that the closest Zara store is an hour away. Really, I think the people living in this area could use another location.

stop it right now

Hypebeast

I've been obsessing over these Céline skateboards created by blogger Jayne Min ever since I first saw them on Tumblr and in NYLON Magazine.

Jayne (who runs stopitrightnow.blogspot) had the brilliant idea of covering skateboards with the brand's pajama print--she comments, 'I wanted to merge my two bog loves--fashion and skateboarding-in a respectful way.'
I kind of wish I was into skateboarding now that all of its masculineness and roughness is lost.

francophile

French actress Léa Seydoux is the new covergirl of the ASOS magazine. She hits the Parisian street in polka dots, bright colors, and cat-esque sunglasses (which I ADORE.) I love the "Le Monde" shot--it's on my wishlist to get a copy when I go to France!

seven for all mankind jeans

Lily Donaldson was featured in the first of 7 for All Mankind Jean's new video campaigns. She looks extra flawless as usual, and I love the vintage feeling and the music.

karlie kloss returns!

Karlie Kloss finally made a return to Paris Fashion Week after missing New York, London, and Milan. She opened Anthony Vaccarello in a navy satin suit and dark makeup. The Daily Mail says, "An editor at Elle.com who attended the Vaccarello show revealed to Fashionista.com that Miss Kloss had refused all catwalk opportunities because she had been due to film a commercial in Japan. Apparently, though, it all fell through, putting her back on the runway in time for Paris Fashion Week." I love the suit Karlie was wearing; it complements her 6 feet frame well!

L'Eau de Chloé fragrance TV ad

I first saw this video on the Nylon Mag website, and I seem to be hitting replay every time it ends! Everything about it is so carefree, fresh, and young, and it really represents the Chloe woman well. I can't identify the model..anyone want to fill me in?

rodarte fall 2012 beauty

Makeup artist James Kaliardos and hair stylist Odile Gilbert showed off their masterpieces at Rodarte's fall 2012 collection. The models sported "geisha" style cheeks with NARS makeup, and gold pins and stars in their short bobs. I think the makeup complimented the floral, patterned clothes perfectly.
